Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle displayed, with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in the socialist-era heraldic style without a crown on the eagle's head, as was customary for the Polish People's Republic. The date 1987 is divided on either side of the eagle's tail feathers, with the mint mark (MW) appearing below. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination ZŁ 100 ZŁ is prominently rendered in large numerals across the lower field.
