| Obverse description | The obverse presents a detailed high-relief depiction of the Temple of Heaven (天坛) in Beijing, rendered against a mirror-polished field. The iconic circular Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is shown in full frontal elevation, with its triple-tiered blue-glazed roof, ceremonial stairways, and surrounding marble terrace faithfully reproduced. The Chinese legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs around the upper periphery in incuse Chinese characters. The date 2025 appears prominently in the lower field in Arabic numerals. |

China's platinum Panda issues occupy an oddly marginal place in the series — produced in far smaller quantities than their gold and silver counterparts, they attract a collector base that remains narrow enough to suppress secondary market premiums relative to melt. The 3g platinum denomination has existed in various configurations since the 1990s, but annual mintage figures have never approached those of the flagship gold issues.
KM#2890 has not yet accumulated the attribution history that older issues carry.
