| 背面描述 | The centre disc depicts a stylised snow leopard in profile, rendered in a traditional Scythian animal-style motif referencing the Winged Bars gold artefact from the Kurgan Issyk burial (late 4th–3rd century BC), symbolising courage and wealth. An eight-pointed star appears at the top of the field within the inner disc. The outer nickel brass ring carries the mint mark QUB to the left and the face value 100 TEŃGE at the bottom. |

Kazakhstan's 100 Tenge circulation bimetallic series, introduced in the 2010s, was part of a broader redenomination strategy following the tenge's prolonged depreciation against the dollar — the National Bank had been managing inflation fallout since the 2015 devaluation that nearly halved the currency's value overnight. The "Winged Bars" motif belongs to a multi-coin program drawing on Kazakh nomadic heritage, each design referencing pre-Soviet material culture.
KM#553 is a relatively recent addition to that series, struck for general circulation rather than collector issue.
