正面描述 At centre-left, a vignette of the National Martyrs' Memorial (Jatiyo Sriti Soudho) at Savar, the national monument erected in memory of those who fell during the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence. To the right, an architectural vignette of the Sixty Dome Mosque (Shat Gombuj Mosque) in Bagerhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest surviving sultanate-period mosque in Bangladesh, built by Ulugh Khan Jahan during the Bengal Sultanate.

背面描述 The central vignette presents the Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna Multi-purpose Bridge), spanning the Jamuna River and connecting Bhuapur on the east bank to Sirajganj on the west bank; the bridge was inaugurated in June 1998 and ranks among the longest bridges in South Asia. The composition is set against a multi-colour guilloche underprint with denomination numerals in the corners.
