The central vignette presents the Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna Multi-purpose Bridge), spanning the Jamuna River and connecting Bhuapur on the east bank to Sirajganj on the west bank; the bridge was inaugurated in June 1998 and ranks among the longest bridges in South Asia. The composition is set against a multi-colour guilloche underprint with denomination numerals in the corners. |
