Beschrijving voorzijde	Printed in purple-brown tones, the obverse centres on an intaglio portrait vignette of Simón Bolívar in military uniform, flanked by ornate guilloche panels bearing the numeral 100 in each corner. The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR and the subtitle SOCIEDAD ANÓNIMA appear in letterpress across the top, with the place of issue QUITO inscribed at the lower left and the denomination legend CIEN SUCRES running along the bottom panel. Signature title lines for the Gerente General and Superintendente are printed below the central vignette, with the printer's imprint of the American Bank Note Company at the foot.
