Reverse description The reverse, rendered entirely in purple, presents the Ecuadorian national coat of arms as the central vignette, an elaborate engraved composition with a condor surmounting the shield, framed by laurel and palm branches. The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR arches across the top in bold letterpress, while large guilloche rosettes bearing the numeral 100 fill the left and right panels. The denomination legend CIEN SUCRES appears in a solid panel along the lower border, with the American Bank Note Company imprint at the foot.
