Описание лицевой стороны	The obverse is dominated by an intaglio portrait of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the First President of Kenya, at centre-left, set against a multi-coloured guilloche underprint in violet and green tones. The Kenyan national arms appears to the right of the portrait, with the denomination numeral '100' rendered in large red figures at lower right and upper left. Text inscriptions identify the issuing authority in both Swahili and English, with the legal tender declaration and the Swahili denomination 'SHILINGI MIA MOJA' printed in bold lettering at centre right.
