The figure of Leopold is prominently raised, conveying regal authority, while the flanking knights carry a shield bearing a crescent motif in the lower field. The circumferential legend reads REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH at top, with the date split 19 - 96 at left and right sides respectively, and the denomination 100 SCHILLING arching along the lower rim. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Frontal effigy of Margrave Leopold III occupying the central field, depicted in a stylised Romanesque manner: the bearded figure wears a jewelled crown and is shown to the waist, holding a sceptre with orb finial in his right hand and gripping the hilt of a sword resting on a heraldic shield in his left.
