The left margin carries an ornate guilloche panel incorporating the numeral 100, while the right margin features a plain unprinted reserve panel framed by decorative borders. 备注

The 100 Schilling of 1936 was issued under the Fatherland Front government of Kurt Schuschnigg, during the brief authoritarian interlude between Austrian democracy and the Anschluss. The Oesterreichische Nationalbank was operating under considerable political and economic strain — Austria's banking system had been badly damaged by the 1931 Creditanstalt collapse, and confidence in paper currency remained fragile throughout the mid-decade recovery.

Rudolf Junk was a prolific Viennese graphic artist whose banknote work for the OeNB spanned multiple denominations across this period. Engraver Rudolf Zenziger was a regular collaborator on the series. This note had a short effective lifespan — the March 1938 Anschluss and subsequent Reichsmark integration rendered the entire Schilling series obsolete within two years of this issue.
