Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Mr. Renganaden Seeneevassen (1910–1958), Mauritian jurist and statesman, at centre-left against an elaborate guilloche underprint in red and ochre tones. The Bank of Mauritius coat of arms appears at lower left, while a vignette of a figure of Justice with scales is visible at lower right. Three-language denomination inscription in Tamil, Hindi, and English occupies the centre-right field, accompanied by three facsimile signatures of the First Deputy Governor, Governor, and Second Deputy Governor with year date below.

Reverse description Central vignette of a colonial-style two-storey residence set among tropical palm trees, rendered in fine line engraving against a multicolour guilloche underprint in red, gold, and pale violet.
