| Reverse description | The reverse presents an elaborate allegorical composition celebrating the Republic of Bashkortostan. Within a decorative cartouche at left, three figures in traditional Bashkir national dress are depicted above a scene of apiarists tending beehives and a woman preparing koumiss, with a mare and foal below. At centre, two oil derricks dominate the mid-ground, flanked to the right by nodding-donkey petroleum pump jacks, with combine harvesters and ears of grain beneath, and an oil refinery rendered in the lower field. Mountains form the background, and a stylised Kurai flower graces the upper field. The legend «БАШКОРТОСТАН» (BASHKORTOSTAN) is inscribed along the upper rim on a matted ornamental cartouche. |
