背面描述	The reverse is printed on plain cream paper with a fine overall guilloche underprint pattern. At centre a circular medallion in light brownish-red carries the inscription ДЕПОЗИТНАЯ МЕТАЛЛИЧЕСКАЯ КВИТАНЦІЯ around the circumference and the date '1895.' in large numerals within. A faint diagonal ОБРАЗЕЦЪ (Specimen) overprint is visible across the reverse.

备注	The 1895 series marked the run-up to the Witte monetary reform, which formally placed Russia on the gold standard in 1897. These notes were printed at the Expedition for the Preparation of State Papers (EZGB) in Saint Petersburg — Russia's own specialist security printing facility, established under Nicholas I and by this period fully capable of the intaglio work Western European printers had previously dominated. The 100 Rouble denomination was a large-value instrument, largely confined to commercial transactions and government payments rather than everyday trade. Peasant wages of the period rarely approached this figure in a month.
