| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the denomination prominently displayed in the center of the field, rendered in large Arabic-Eastern numerals (١٠٠) above the word ريال, with the Western numerals '100' and the legend 'RIYALS' below in bold Latin characters. A continuous Arabic legend reading حُكُومَةُ رَأسِ الخَيْمَة (Government of Ras al-Khaimah) encircles the upper portion of the field, while the Latin legend 'GOVERNMENT OF RAS AL KHAIMA' runs along the lower periphery, flanked by six-pointed stars on each side. The design is framed by an inner raised ring separating the central motif from the surrounding legends, with a beaded border encircling the entire obverse. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Ras al-Khaimah, the smallest and most financially pressed of the Trucial States, issued a flood of commemorative coins between 1969 and 1971 primarily as a revenue-generating exercise targeting foreign collectors rather than domestic circulation. This 1970 World Cup issue appeared while the tournament itself was being played in Mexico — a competition ultimately won by Brazil, who retired the Jules Rimet Trophy permanently with their third title. The coin never circulated in any meaningful sense and was produced under the authority of Saqr bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, who had ruled the emirate since 1948.
Ras al-Khaimah joined the UAE in 1972, ending its brief career as an independent issuing authority.
