Obverse description At right, a Type VII portrait of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in military uniform set within an ornate guilloche frame; a watermark window occupies the left field, with serial numbers printed above and below the window area. Intricate geometric underprint covers the face, and the numeric denomination appears at all four corners. Two facsimile signatures of the Governor and Minister of Finance appear at lower centre.

Reverse description The central vignette presents a detailed intaglio view of the Abadan oil refinery complex, with tall distillation columns, pipework and industrial structures extending across the composition against a lightly hatched sky. The bank title 'BANK MARKAZI IRAN' appears in Latin script within a dark rectangular panel at the top, while the denomination is rendered in Persian and Latin numerals in the lower corners and along the bottom margin. Elaborate guilloche borders and foliate corner ornaments frame the entire reverse in deep rose-red.
