Beschrijving voorzijde	At left centre, an intaglio portrait vignette presents the three Bangwato chiefs — Sebele I, Bathoen I, and Khama III — each identified by name inscription, rendered in fine engraved style against a multicolour guilloche underprint. To the right, a vignette of an African fish eagle sits within a radiating sunburst guilloche rosette, flanked by the facsimile signatures of the Minister of Finance and the Governor. The Botswana coat of arms appears at upper right, surmounted by the bank title "Bank of Botswana", with the denomination "One Hundred Pula" in large script across the lower centre.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The central intaglio vignette presents a worker sorting rough diamonds by hand on a flat surface, with loose stones visible in the foreground; to the right, an aerial perspective of a large open-pit diamond mine with terraced extraction levels extends across the mid-ground. The bank title "Banka ya Botswana" is inscribed in Setswana at the top, with the denomination "Pula tse di Lekgolo" below the central design, while decorative diamond-shaped guilloche elements and geometric latticework border panels frame the composition at left and right.
