Obverse description Central device comprising a tall date palm tree with spreading fronds and clusters of fruit at the trunk, rendered in fine relief against a flat field. The country name appears in Hebrew (ישראל) above the tree along the upper arc, and in Arabic (اسرائيل) below the tree along the lower arc. The coin is bordered by a ring of 136 beads close to the rim, a distinguishing characteristic of the KM#18 variety.
