| Obverse description | Central vignette presents an intaglio rendering of the Sultan Hassan Mosque in Cairo, its minaret and dome executed with fine line engraving against a tonal guilloche oval underprint. The issuer's name in Arabic — البنك المركزى المصرى — appears in large script across the upper centre, with the denomination مئة جنيه at the right and a green denominational numeral cartouche reading 100 at the lower left. A multicolour arabesque and geometric underprint in pastel tones covers the entire field, with a row of Islamic geometric ornaments forming the upper border. |
