Obverse description Printed in brown on white paper, the obverse centres on an oval intaglio portrait vignette of King George V in military uniform, flanked by two-line text panels stating the legal tender clause. The central panel is flanked by elaborate guilloche scrollwork and foliate ornaments, with denomination numerals 100 POUNDS repeated at upper left and upper right within decorative cartouches.
