背面描述 The reverse presents, within the silver centre disc, a group of pitahaya (dragon fruit) cactus plants arranged in a mounded composition, with a single ripe fruit prominently displayed at the apex, its oval flesh exposed and framed by flame-like petals, rendered in fine relief. To the left of the central motif appear the Mexican Mint monogram 'Mo' and the date '2007'; to the right, the denomination '$100'. The inscription LUGAR DE PITAHAYAS appears in the lower portion of the silver field. The aluminium-bronze outer ring is decorated with stylised cactus spine motifs, and the legend ESTADO DE SINALOA curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters.

附加信息

Part of Banco de México's long-running "Estados y Municipios" commemorative series, which ran from 2003 through 2011 and issued a distinct bimetallic piece for each of Mexico's 31 states plus the Federal District. Sinaloa's issue appeared in 2007 alongside several other state releases that year. The series drew on a coin format Mexico had already proven viable with the earlier Nuevos Pesos bimetallic program of the 1990s.

Sinaloa's history as a colonial mining region — silver extraction there dates to the sixteenth century — makes the .925 silver centre particularly apt for this specific state issue.
