| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents, within the silver centre disc, a group of pitahaya (dragon fruit) cactus plants arranged in a mounded composition, with a single ripe fruit prominently displayed at the apex, its oval flesh exposed and framed by flame-like petals, rendered in fine relief. To the left of the central motif appear the Mexican Mint monogram 'Mo' and the date '2007'; to the right, the denomination '$100'. The inscription LUGAR DE PITAHAYAS appears in the lower portion of the silver field. The aluminium-bronze outer ring is decorated with stylised cactus spine motifs, and the legend ESTADO DE SINALOA curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters. |

Part of Banco de México's long-running "Estados y Municipios" commemorative series, which ran from 2003 through 2011 and issued a distinct bimetallic piece for each of Mexico's 31 states plus the Federal District. Sinaloa's issue appeared in 2007 alongside several other state releases that year. The series drew on a coin format Mexico had already proven viable with the earlier Nuevos Pesos bimetallic program of the 1990s.
Sinaloa's history as a colonial mining region — silver extraction there dates to the sixteenth century — makes the .925 silver centre particularly apt for this specific state issue.
