Reverse description The silver centre field displays the elaborately detailed coat of arms of the State of San Luis Potosí, depicting a crowned figure of Saint Louis IX of France standing atop a rocky hill, flanked by oval cartouches representing mineral wealth, all set within a baroque-style shield surmounted by scrollwork and cartouche ornaments. The aluminium bronze outer ring carries the legend ESTADO DE SAN LUIS POTOSÍ along the upper arc, with a border of raised dots. The mintmark Mo appears at the left of the centre disc, the date 2004 is inscribed in the lower field below the shield, and the denomination $100 is struck along the lower arc of the ring.
