| Obverse description | The obverse features the Mexican national coat of arms in the bimetallic centre, depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a serpent, rendered in high-relief proof finish against a mirror-like field. The gold-toned inner disc contrasts sharply with the polished silver outer ring. The national legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS is inscribed along the upper periphery of the silver ring in raised Latin lettering.
