Opmerkingen

The Tesorería de la Provincia de Buenos Aires issued provincial notes in the early 2000s as a direct response to the catastrophic 2001–2002 Argentine financial crisis, when the federal government's corralito restrictions froze bank deposits and a severe shortage of circulating currency paralyzed everyday commerce. Buenos Aires Province, like several other Argentine provinces, turned to quasi-money — locally issued instruments sometimes called "patacones" in the broader public shorthand — to meet wage obligations and keep the provincial economy functioning.

A 2006 date is notably late for this series. By that point the peso had largely restabilized, which raises questions about whether this note reflects continued issuance, a reprint, or administrative backdating worth investigating against original series documentation.
