| Obverse description | Brown and red note with an elaborate guilloche border frame enclosing repeated small underprint vignettes of the Brunswick arms with a horse passant throughout the centre field. A ducal crown surmounts a large central shield of the Brunswick coat of arms in dark red. The denomination "Einhundert Mark" is set in bold Gothic script across the centre, with the issuing authority "Herzogl. Braunschw. Staatskassenschein" above in Fraktur lettering. A clause text in small Gothic script gives redemption conditions dated Braunschweig, 13. Oktober 1918, and a perforated cancellation reads across the lower portion of the note. |
