| Description de l’avers | The central pane bears two allegorical female busts in intaglio — Mercury (left, winged helmet) and Ceres (right, grain wreath) — flanking the large denomination inscription "Ein Hundert Mark" in ornate Gothic blackletter script, set against a radiating guilloche underprint with Imperial crown and eagle motifs. Two circular red letterpress seals of the Reichsbankdirektorium, each bearing the Imperial eagle, are positioned centrally below the text block, accompanied by facsimile signatures. The left panel is reserved for the watermark zone, with the note number printed vertically in red on both outer margins. |

The main bordered pane appears notably darker in tone due to the dense dot underprint, contrasting with the lighter watermark pane at left. The denomination numerals "100" are repeated in each corner within guilloche cartouches, with the value inscription centered along the lower margin. |
