| Obverse description | A yellow-green floral guilloche underprint fills the note within a dotted double border carrying marginal text along all four edges. At top centre, a black rectangular panel bears the numeral '100' flanked by diamond ornaments, below which the denomination 'Einhundert Mark' appears in bold Gothic (Fraktur) letterpress; the main body text states the Stadtgemeinde Heidelberg will pay the bearer on demand, dated 'Heidelberg, den 28. September 1922'. A red serial number and series letter appear at lower left, a dry embossed municipal seal is applied at centre, and the manuscript signature of the Oberbürgermeister is placed at lower right. |
