A central vignette of the city arms appears as a light underprint behind the text block, which includes a redemption clause, the date "Höchst a. M., den 29. September 1922", and two rows of ten facsimile signatures of the Magistrat below the imprint "DER MAGISTRAT". The serial number is printed vertically in green along the left margin. |

| Description du revers | The reverse is printed entirely in brown on a tan guilloche underprint and carries no text beyond the issuer name and denomination. A large central cartouche of intricate lathe-work guilloche frames the numeral "100" in outline script, flanked by symmetrical foliate scrollwork. Four shield-shaped vignettes bearing the Höchst wheel emblem are placed at each corner, and the legend "Stadt Höchst am Main" appears in Kurrent script at the upper centre, with "Hundert Mark" in matching Kurrent lettering along the lower margin. The printer's imprint "C. Naumann's Druckerei, Frankfurt a/M." is set in small roman type below the lower border. |
