| Obverse description | Green-tinted face with an elaborate guilloche border framing the entire field; the Ottoman tughra is centred at the top above a panel of Ottoman script giving the bank name and denomination. To the left, an oval intaglio medallion carries the numeral '100' and the French legend 'BANQUE IMPERIALE OTTOMANE / LIVRES TURQUES', with a mirror panel in Ottoman script to the right. Two manuscript signatures appear at the lower centre above the printed French legend 'Remboursable à Constantinople' at the foot. |
