| Obverse description | Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Olav V in high relief against a mirror-polished field, rendered with fine portrait detail including naturalistic hair and facial features. The circumferential legend reads OLAV V·NORGES KONGE, disposed around the upper arc. The date 1991 appears at the base of the portrait, flanked by the Kongsberg Mint mark and the engraver's initials K and ØH.
