The legend REPUBLIQUE DU MALI arcs along the upper rim, flanked by two five-pointed stars. The denomination 100 FRANCS CFA appears in the lower central field, with the national motto UN PEUPLE•UN BUT•UNE FOI curved along the lower rim.
