| Obverse description | The central field features the coat of arms of the Central African Republic, comprising a quartered shield displaying an elephant's head and a tree in the upper quarters, a star and an arrow in the lower quarters, supported by two crossed national flags on either side and surmounted by a rising sun. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the national motto, with the WWF panda logo absent from this face. The circular legend RÉPUBLIQUE CENTRAFRICAINE arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 100 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower rim. Two decorative asterisks flank the coat of arms in the lower field. |

A small diver figure appears in the colored field to the right of the whale, conveying the animal's immense scale. The lower third of the reverse is uncolored and features the WWF panda logotype within a square cartouche at center.
