Obverse description	The central field features the coat of arms of the Central African Republic, comprising a quartered shield displaying an elephant's head and a tree in the upper quarters, a star and an arrow in the lower quarters, supported by two crossed national flags on either side and surmounted by a rising sun. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the national motto, with the WWF panda logo absent from this face. The circular legend RÉPUBLIQUE CENTRAFRICAINE arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 100 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower rim. Two decorative asterisks flank the coat of arms in the lower field.

Like many landlocked nations, it has periodically authorized novelty issues through third-party minting arrangements — coins designed entirely for the collector market, with no relationship to the issuing country's history, economy, or fauna. This piece is one of those. KM#19 was struck under licensing arrangements common to small Francophone African states whose minting authority is effectively administered externally.
