Aanvullende informatie

Issued as part of France's extended commemorative program for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, this piece appeared three years before the Games themselves — Monnaie de Paris began the series in 1989 to spread mintage and revenue across multiple years rather than flooding the market at once. Albertville's selection as host city in 1986 had been a surprise win over Sofia, backed heavily by the personal lobbying of Michel Barnier, then a young politician from Savoie.
