| Opis awersu | Central cartouche with Arabic inscriptions arranged in multiple lines, bearing the name and title of Ahmad Muddat Bey of Tunisia, the denomination 100 Francs, and the Hijri date 1348. The cartouche is flanked on each side by stylized foliate and wheat-ear sprigs in low relief. A continuous beaded inner border surrounds the central design, with a reeded outer rim encircling the entire field. The composition is characteristic of Bazor's elegant Art Deco engraving style as applied to Tunisian protectorate coinage. |
