Reverse description The reverse displays a bold eight-pointed star radiating from a central medallion, each point composed of alternating solid triangular rays and triple-lined stripe rays in a striking geometric design. At the center of the medallion, a circular shield depicts a wheat ear superimposed over an outline map of Iraq. Above the central shield, the legend 'الجمهورية العراقية' (Republic of Iraq) is inscribed in Arabic, while below it the commemorative date '١٤ تموز ١٩٥٨' (14 July 1958) records the date of the Iraqi Revolution. The entire design is encircled by a fine reeded border.
