Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse depicts the Crown of Saint Wenceslas, the historic Bohemian royal crown crafted in honour of the patron saint of the Czechs, who was assassinated in AD 935. Engraved with exceptional detail by Herbert Wähner, the crown is rendered in high relief against a plain field, showcasing its elaborate goldsmith work including fleur-de-lis points, precious stone settings, and arched construction. The surrounding legend in the border reads REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH 100 EURO WENZELSKRONE 2011 in Latin script.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a three-quarter portrait bust of Emperor Rudolf II in period attire, wearing an elaborate ruffled collar and richly ornamented doublet, positioned in the left foreground. Behind the effigy, a detailed panoramic view of Prague is depicted, including the Charles Bridge with its characteristic arches spanning the Vltava River and Prague Castle with the Cathedral of Saint Vitus rising prominently on the hilltop. The incuse legend RUDOLF II. KÖNIG v.BÖHMEN arcs along the lower rim within a beaded border, identifying the sovereign as King of Bohemia. The finely engraved cityscape fills the entire field with architectural precision, reflecting the Habsburg imperial capital at its height.
