| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in olive-green and pink tones, the obverse presents a portrait vignette of the Duke of Saldanha in military uniform at the left within a guilloche border, paired with a central intaglio vignette of Lisbon's Praça do Comércio with its triumphal arch and flanking classical architecture. The denomination CEM ESCUDOS appears in a panel beneath the central vignette, while BANCO DE PORTUGAL and the date LISBOA, 13 de Janeiro de 1925 are inscribed across the upper register. The numeral 100 appears in the lower corners within ornate cartouches. |
