| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features an intricately engraved Chinese dragon rendered in high sculptural relief, its sinuous scaled body coiled in a circular composition with the head positioned at centre-left, facing right with an open mouth, prominent horns, and flowing whiskers finely detailed. The dragon's textured scales and extended clawed feet are executed with exceptional depth against a frosted background, creating a pronounced cameo contrast with the mirror-polished field characteristic of proof coinage. The arc legend 2022 1oz 9999 GOLD curves along the upper periphery, while the designer's initials LB and the Perth Mint's P mintmark appear discreetly within the lower field. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Perth Mint's annual lunar and dragon-themed bullion and proof programs have been a reliable commercial vehicle since the late 1990s, but the 2022 dragon issue sits outside the standard Lunar Series calendar — it's a standalone release rather than a zodiac year piece, which the mint has increasingly produced to meet collector demand independent of the twelve-year cycle. The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was adopted by the Perth Mint later than many Commonwealth issuers, making its appearance on 2022 issues among its final uses before the queen's death in September of that year.
