| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is designed as an ornate clock face, with Roman numerals I through XII arrayed around the outer field, here rendered in non-standard clockwise arrangement with the chemical symbol Au substituting for the XII position. Two hands point to approximately five minutes to twelve. The central field is filled with undulating concentric wave lines in the guilloche style against a dark background, with the legend CHRONOS inscribed across the centre. A subsidiary seconds-register at the lower centre depicts a small circular subdial bearing the denomination numeral 100, surrounded by Arabic minute markers (5 through 60) and decorative Polynesian wave motifs. The word DOLLARS and the denomination 100 complete the design. |
