Obverse description The central vignette combines a view of the Great Wall of China to the left with the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong to the right, rendered in red tones over a fine guilloche underprint. A large calligraphic centenary logotype — the numeral '100' in bold brushstroke style — dominates the centre of the note, with the denomination in both Chinese characters and English below. A gold holographic patch at the lower left bears the Chinese characters for 'commemorative', and the issuer's circular logo appears at the top centre alongside bilingual bank name legends.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a panoramic vignette of Victoria Harbour, with the distinctive Bank of China Tower rising prominently on the left in deep red intaglio-style printing, set against the broader Hong Kong Island skyline including Two International Finance Centre at right. The harbour waters and mountain backdrop are rendered in warm rose and orange tones over a multicoloured guilloche underprint, conveying the urban character of modern Hong Kong. The bilingual issuer name is printed at the top centre, and the denomination appears in both numeral and Chinese characters at the lower right.
