| Beschrijving voorzijde | At center, a detailed rendering of the Dome of the Rock (Qubbat al-Sakhrah) enclosed within a beaded circle. The state name in Arabic, دولة الكويت, arcs along the upper legend, while the denomination مَائَةَ دينَار appears in Arabic and ONE HUNDRED DINARS in English along the lower legend. The inscription الصَخرة المشرّفة (The Noble Rock) and STATE OF KUWAIT further complete the surrounding legends within the outer border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts two of Islam's most sacred mosque complexes in a panoramic arrangement: Al-Masjid Al-Haram (The Great Mosque of Mecca) to the left and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet's Mosque in Medina) to the right, both rendered in fine architectural detail. Surrounding legends in Arabic and English commemorate the occasion of the coin's issue, reading المسجد الحرام, المسجد النبوي, and مطلع القَرن الخَامِس عَشَر الهِجري along with the Hijri year سَنَة ١٤٠١ هـ. The English inscription BEGINNING OF 15TH HIJRAH CENTURY and the date 1401 A.H. appear in the lower field. |
