Obverse description The obverse reproduces the 1935-dated 100 Reichsmark note, with a portrait vignette of Justus von Liebig at right and a guilloche underprint at centre incorporating a swastika motif. The serial number appears at left, and an adhesive overprint stamp was applied beneath it as part of the 1948 Soviet-zone currency reform. Denomination numerals '100' appear at left and right within decorative borders.
