Aanvullende informatie

The cruzeiro real was itself a transitional currency — introduced in August 1993 as Brazil's seventh monetary unit in under a decade, it was never meant to last. The Plano Real of 1994 replaced it with the real at a rate of 2,750 cruzeiros reais to one real, rendering this denomination obsolete within roughly a year of its first striking.
