Obverse description Red on multicolour underprint, printed in the fine intaglio style characteristic of the American Bank Note Company. The central vignette at right presents a female allegorical figure bearing fruits before an altar, a composition closely related to earlier Nicaraguan issues such as P#69. Denomination numerals and issuing authority inscriptions are set within guilloche-enriched border panels framing the design.

Reverse description Dark olive-brown on uncoloured paper, with the design executed entirely in intaglio. The Nicaraguan Coat of Arms occupies the centre within an elaborate surround of scrollwork and guilloche panels; the Arms display a triangular device enclosing five volcanic peaks rising above water, surmounted by a radiant cap of liberty within a circular legend band. Denomination numerals "100" appear in each corner within ornate cartouches, with the value legend "CIEN CÓRDOBAS" inscribed in a panel at the foot of the design.
