| Reverse description | The reverse is largely plain, featuring a central square perforation bordered by a raised square rim, with a broad, undecorated flat field extending to the raised outer rim. A single Chinese character 殷 (Yin), denoting the Yin Kingdom — the short-lived state proclaimed by Wang Yanzheng within the collapsing Min Kingdom — appears above the square hole, cast in raised regular script. The field shows evidence of natural patination consistent with the bronze alloy and age of the piece. The reverse design is otherwise devoid of additional inscription or decorative elements, typical of high-denomination cast cash of this period. |
