Reverse description Central square hole flanked by two Chinese characters in Regular script: 當 (Dang, meaning 'equivalent to') positioned above the hole and 百 (Bai, meaning 'one hundred') below, denoting the coin's denomination of 100 cash. The characters are boldly cast with clear strokes against a plain, flat field bounded by a raised inner and outer rim. The reverse field is otherwise unadorned, consistent with Song dynasty denominational cash coinage practice.
