Popis líce	Printed in red-orange tones, the obverse carries a portrait vignette of a mustachioed gentleman at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint with ornamental rosette at centre. The denomination CIEN BOLIVIANOS is inscribed in large bold lettering across the middle, flanked by numerals '100' at left and right, with two intaglio signature lines below the central vignette. The Bolivian coat of arms appears at lower centre-left, and a red cross device is visible at left margin.

Poznámky	Bolivia's 1986 monetary reform was drastic by any measure. The country had endured hyperinflation that peaked at over 20,000% annually in 1985 — one of the worst episodes recorded in Latin American history. The new boliviano, introduced in January 1987, replaced the peso boliviano at a rate of one million to one. This 100 bolivianos note predates that final conversion and belongs to the transitional issue printed in preparation for the changeover, produced by the Canadian Bank Note Company in Ottawa. CBNC's work for Bolivian issues of this period is generally competent but not among their more elaborate commissions.
