Popis líce	Dark intaglio-printed note on a light blue guilloche underprint, with the bank title BANCO DE MARACAIBO in bold lettering across the upper centre, flanked by the numeral 100 in each corner. Two allegorical female figures serve as lateral vignettes — one seated at left beside an armorial seal, the other at right amid bales of goods — evoking commerce and industry. The central panel carries the inscriptions CAPITAL COMPAÑIA ANONIMA and CIEN BOLIVARES, with manuscript-style handwritten text below the central numeral; the illustrated example is overprinted SPECIMEN in red.

Popis rubu	Printed entirely in blue, the reverse centres on a bold counter numeral 100 set within an elaborate lathe-work rosette panel, flanked by two large guilloche medallions of equal size. The whole central design is enclosed within a series of ornate engine-turned borders composed of interlocking wave and lace patterns, creating a dense, symmetrical intaglio composition. The issuer name BANCO DE MARACAIBO appears in plain spaced lettering along the uppermost margin.
