| 备注 |
Banco de Venezuela was founded in 1890 — the same year this note was issued — making this among the earliest paper issued under that institution's authority. The American Bank Note Company had by then become the dominant supplier of high-security intaglio printing to Latin American banks, and Venezuela was a steady client through the late nineteenth century.
The 100 Bolívares denomination was substantial relative to wages of the period, meaning circulation wear on survivors is typically light. Notes of this vintage from Venezuelan private banks are genuinely scarce; institutional upheaval and the eventual nationalization of note-issuing authority thinned surviving populations considerably.
